A professional book cover designer
I have been working in graphic design for over twenty-five years, starting out in advertising before finding my true calling in the world of books.
Like many readers, my love of books began with a novel: The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne. The sense of immersion and being pulled into another world is something I’ve been chasing ever since, first as a reader and then as a professional book cover designer.
Roughly twenty years ago, I designed my first book cover for a client. That project quietly changed the direction of my career. Since then, I’ve created thousands of covers, working with authors, publishers and numerous New York Times and USA Today bestselling writers across genres such as fantasy, science fiction and thrillers.
My work today goes beyond simply making a cover look good. I design book covers that are built to succeed in the market — covers that instantly communicate genre, attract the right audience and stand out in competitive environments such as Amazon KDP and IngramSpark. Every project starts from the same premise: a cover is not just an image, but a positioning tool.
My approach to book cover design is rooted in translation. A manuscript has tone, rhythm and atmosphere — often intangible qualities that need to be distilled into something immediate and visual. The challenge, and the part I enjoy most, is striking the right balance between artistic expression and market expectations.
Over the years, I have worked with independent authors, small publishers and literary professionals who have needed more than decoration; they have needed a cover that can carry the weight of their story and present it convincingly to readers. Whether it’s a fully custom project or a carefully crafted premade design, the objective remains consistent: to create a cover that feels right for the book and is effective in its context.
Outside of work, I naturally gravitate towards the same genres that I design for. Science fiction, fantasy and thrillers remain a constant presence in my daily life. I also enjoy tabletop role-playing games, cooking and working out at the gym. Like any Italian, I take food seriously, especially when it brings the family together around the table.
If you’re looking for a professional book cover designer who understands the creative and commercial sides of publishing, feel free to explore my portfolio or browse the available premade covers. Alternatively, get in touch and we can discuss your project.
My goal is simple: to create a cover that gives your book the best possible chance of standing out and connecting with its audience.
